SADIE WOODS
Post-disciplinary artist, curator, and DJ Sadie Woods focuses her artistic practice on liberatoration, social movements, and the diasporic heritage of the Americas and Global South. For Woods, sound art can give rise to social empowerment through blending, editing, and recomposing sonic ephemera and music to process historical, social, political, and cultural moments. Woods teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, is Curator of Community and Public Programs at Chicago Sinfonietta, and is Resident DJ at Lumpen Radio 105.5FM (CHI), Vocalo 91.5FM (CHI), and Wave Farm 90.7 FM (NY).
