Julius Tucker Trio

JULIUS TUCKER is an up-and-coming jazz pianist who has played at venues including the Green Mill, Room 43, Andy’s Jazz Club, the Jazz Showcase, and Winter’s Jazz Club as well as the Chicago Stage Series of the Logan Center and the Water Colors Series at Navy Pier, sponsored by the Jazz Institute of Chicago. Born and raised in Chicago, he is a graduate of Whitney Young High School and Northwestern University and was a piano student for many years at the Merit School of Music. At Northwestern, Julius studied jazz piano with Victor Goines and Jeremy Kahn at the Bienen School of Music and civil engineering at the McCormick School of Engineering. He is also a recipient of the Ken Chaney Scholarship and Luminarts Fellowship.
The trio includes Julius on piano; ALVIN COBB on drums; and ALEX WARSHAWSKY on bass.
