New York-based Israeli guitarist and vocalist DIDA PELLED has a talent for storytelling. France’s Jazz Hot magazine reads, “Dida sings in a voice sometimes playful, warm, resonant, no frills. She sings the words, giving them their meaning, their weight, with perfect diction and charm.” Dan Bilawski of All*About*Jazz writes, "Dida Pelled sings and plays with equal skill, and her one of kind sound—steeped in tradition while residing deep in a dream—mark her as an artist deserving greater attention.” Dida studied jazz at the New School in New York and has worked with trumpeters Fabio Morgera and Roy Hargrove, drummers Gregory Hutchinson and Rodney Green, pianists/organists Sam Yahel and Luke Carlos O’Reilly, and engineer Helik Hadar. She released her debut album, Dida Plays and Sings, in 2013; her second album, Modern Love Songs, in 2015; and her third and latest album, A Missing Shade of Blue, in 2016.

Her trio includes Dida on guitar and vocals; JOHN SUTTON on upright bass; and MIKEL PATRICK AVERY on drums with special guest SAM TRUMP on trumpet and vocals.
