Based in Chicago and Detroit, ALEXIS LOMBRE is a young jazz pianist whose mission is to keep the soul in music alive. She has performed at major jazz venues in Chicago, Detroit, New York City, St. Louis, and Kansas City and with the likes of Donnie Trumpet (now Nico Segal) & The Social Experiment, Pharez Whitted, Bobby Broom, Earnest Dawkins, Ingrid Jensen, Kendrick Scott, James Carter, and Bobby Watson. Earlier this year, Lombre released her debut album, Southside Sounds, a collection of original compositions that pays homage to the South Side’s lively artistic and cultural heritage. She currently studies with former Jazz Messenger and legendary pianist Benny Green. Alexis will be joined by RAJIV HALIM on saxophone, JUNIUS PAUL on bass, and GREG ARTRY on drums.
