The 3rd Hyde Park Jazz Festival on Saturday, September 26, 2009, will bring together world-class headliners and local emerging artists for 15 hours of FREE, non-stop jazz at 12 creative and unexpected venues in Hyde Park.
The 3rd Hyde Park Jazz Festival is produced by the Hyde Park Cultural Alliance, the University of Chicago, and the Hyde Park Jazz Society.

Hours
The festival begins at noon at the DuSable Museum of African American History on Saturday, September 26, 2009 and closes Sunday, September 28, 2009 at the International House with a Slam Jam that begins at midnight and ends at 2AM.
Tickets
All performances are FREE and open to the public. Please note some venues that have a very limited seating capacity. Seating will be available on a first come first served basis.
With a contribution of $250 or more, donors will receive a JAZZ PASS which will provide JAZZ PASS holders with reserved seating at the following venues: DuSable Museum of African American Art, Hyde Park Union Church, International House, Oriental Institute, and Rockefeller Chapel.

Bicycles
We highly encourage biking to the festival and to and from festival venues.
Transportation
The majority of the jazz festival venues are located in close proximity to each other. Festival attendees are encouraged to park and then walk to the venues of interest. The Midway Plaisance will serve as the transportation hub for the festival. There will be transportation services available for persons with mobility limitations from the Midway Plaisance. Festival shuttles will transport attendees, free of charge, before, during and after all performances at: Experimental Station, Hyde Park Art Center, Hyde Park Bank, Little Black Pearl.
